Tamoggemon Releases LocaNote Free for Symbian

Tamoggemon LocaNote Lite has simplified the lives of countless users since its release in 2009. After all, being able to leave the note pad at home and never loosing a pesky paper again isn’t too bad an option.

Having an unlimited amount of notes is nice for power users – however, we are fully aware that it constitutes overkill for less sophisticated users. In order to allow them to enjoy the benefits of LocaNote, Tamoggemon today introduces LocaNote Free.

LocaNote Free is, as the name says, available at no cost. It contains the same drawing engine found in other versions of LocaNote, and furthermore stores GPS and date information which can later be analyzed using more advanced versions of the product.

Its only limitations compared to the Lite version are the limited number of notes allowed, and the lack of a filtering option. It can be downloaded from the Ovi Store and Samsung’s App Seller office immediately.

As usual, Sony Ericsson wasn’t able to pass the product through QA in a reasonable time frame. We are currently evaluating other options for making the product available to Sony Ericsson customers.

Here's some breaking (and long awaited) news from Palm about the availability of the Palm Pre here in Canada (finally!)

It’s almost here! Bell Mobility announced today that Palm Pre will be available at its retail locations in Canada on 27 August for $199.95 (on a three-year contract with a minimum 500MB data plan). If you want to be sure to get your hands on Palm Pre ASAP, you can place an order online now at www.bell.ca/pre, at Bell stores and at Bell retail partners Best Buy, Future Shop, The Telephone Booth/La Cabine Téléphonique, WIRELESS etc. and Wireless Wave.

Palm Pre 26 Minute Video Live Demo

Chris Davies has posted a 26 minute long video of a live Palm Pre demo at both precommunity.com and YouTube. Taken at Mobile World Congress 2009 this is suppose to be "the most complete demonstration" available to date.

I was impressed with how deep the answers went: for example, when the_hands mention that the back cover comes off allowing you to change the user replaceable battery, Chris? asks, "can you show us" and the_hands proceed to remove the back cover of the Pre and show the battery pack (BP1) as well as the Vodaphone SIM etc. Very cool. (Yes, I know I truly am a geek).
